We have enjoyed this holiday season so much. The best part is having Jordan "home" more. He's usually home quite a bit but swallowed up in homework, so his break from school has been wonderful. We have really enjoyed a lot of quality family time.
One thing I love about holidays is that it gives me the excuse to get crafty! I had so much fun helping Ellie make this Christmas scene and loved seeing how proud she was of it. If you came to our house, I'm sure she held it up for you to admire!
On the Bailey family side we always do the twelve days of Christmas and this year Jordan and I were assigned the first day of Christmas. On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, peanut butter in a chocolate tree!
YUM!!!!
A huge thanks to my mom for helping me recycle a bunch of baby jars while we made these cute neighbor gifts! Hot cocoa snowmen. I was very happy with how they turned out and glad to have used some of my baby jar stash. Also, glad to have such great neighbors to share them with.
This craft speaks for itself. Though I love the candy, games, snow, good food and great company that come with the Christmas time, I know the reason for the season is Christ. I am so grateful to have a testimony of Jesus Christ. I am grateful as a mother, for the sacrifices Mary made to bring this sweet baby into this world. I am grateful for the beginning of such a magnificent work that begun in a simple stable. I love the continued light of Christ that guides me each day and distills hope in my life. I love Jesus Christ.
Tomorrow its time to get back to the real world. Jordan and I are very excited for him to start school at UVU tomorrow. We look forward to our new adventures here in Orem and have loved that time we have spent here thus far. Happy New Year to you all!
What fun things did this holiday season bring to you?
