A Little Effort for a lot of FUN!

For the last week or so Ellie has been having fun rolling up in her giant comforter, "hiding". This normally ends with Brooklyn body slamming her and them giggling and giggling. They are so fun to watch interact.

Yesterday morning I asked Ellie if she wanted to make a tent. It took us all of 3 chairs, 2 blankets and about 1 minute to throw our tent together.

Ellie absolutely loved it. She wanted to spend the whole day under it and she couldn't wait to show it to daddy when he got home. I loved that she wanted to do something besides watching movies. We spent most of our tent time reading books together. We also ate lunch in the tent!

I couldn't really get her to hold still for a good picture but here's a peak inside our tent. We used this fun little lantern for light to read and play. Already this morning she has said we need to make our tent again.

As I've said before, it sure is the little things that make the most fun and good memories.

Anyone else like building forts?

Saving at Savers!!!

Jordan and I were discussing how Ellie is about to grow out of the only nice Sunday shoes that she has so I planned to hit up Savers this morning before I did my grocery shopping. Boy was I excited when I got there and found out that everything was 50% off for Presidents Day!!!! The place was an absolute madhouse and well I lost Ellie twice... Both times being summoned to the front of the store to obtain my lost child... Not a proud momma moment! None the less, I am so stoked about the purchases I made that I just had to come home and blog about it!

These are the spoils
I want to break it down for you though.

7 ties

1 sweater, 1 pair of shoes, 3 mens' slacks and a pair of corduroys

6 button up shirts

6 pairs of jeans

All of the above was for Jordan. I can't wait for him to try everything on and hopefully most of it fits!

And now for us girls. A play laptop, baby toy, 2 pairs of toddler tights, 4 pairs of toddler pants, 1 pair of toddler shorts, 3 toddler shirts and 4 pairs of toddler shoes. A crib sheet and 2 sets of hangers. As well as 2 purses and a pair of shoes for me.

Stuff for the girls

All of that for a grand total of $149.28. I saved $127.32. And these are Savers prices. I can't imagine the amount of money it would cost to buy all of this new! I loaded my cart with tons of stuff and then re-evaluated it before checking out, keeping only the best of the best. I love a good bargain and certainly feel like I got one today!

When and where do you find the best deals?

The More, The Merrier!!!

We have been LOVING these days full of sunshine! Its so nice to go outside. Our ward play group this last week had so many people at it and I'm pretty sure we all stayed at the park for 2-3 hours because it was such a beautiful day. The girls especially love to get to go out more. Jordan decided to get his bike out of storage and take advantage of this warm weather. The more sunshine the better in my book.

My sexy man on his bike!
Ellie's turn for a ride.
And Brooklyn had fun just sitting with daddy.
Some say that too much of a good thing is bad... and I'd have to agree with that most of the time, but I have found at least one exception. I don't think I can have too many cute baby girls. Baby girl Ross #3 is scheduled to arrive in June. (I'm 21 weeks along.) What a blessing for our family!!! I remind myself often to never take for granted the miracle of bringing children into this world. I'm so grateful for this experience.

I'm sure people can see that "the more, the merrier" is also our philosophy with children.

Last, but not least, Sleep. The more, the merrier. I have always loved my sleep and have been so glad my children have too! My sweet angels are good about taking a nap every day and letting mom get one too. An extra bonus when pregnant. I just loved this little bum in the air while Brooklyn napped today. Pinchy-pinch.
